Fermentations Awards
The best awards that we have are the ones selected by the general public. We have been very fortunate to have been selected multiple times as Toronto's Best by the readers of NOW Magazine, EYE Weekly, and the Beaches-Riverdale Mirror, going back as far as 1995. In fact, we have won so often that NOW Magazine has given us the prestigious Hall Of Fame Award!
Rather than listing awards going back to 1993 when we first opened our doors, we will list the awards from the last 3 years.
Over the years, many of our beers have won awards in competition, including our Jingle Belgian Ale, and our Beer School Bohemian Pilsner.
Our wines are also regularly entered in competitions judged by the Wine Judges Of Canada.
In 2007, we took 2 bronze medals (Pinot Noir and a Rhone Blend) 3 silver (Vidal, Baco Noir, and Zinfandel) and one gold (Riesling Ice Wine). The ice wine was to represent Ontario at the Nationals, but did not get submitted on time. There is always next year!
Additionally, in 2007, we were awarded 3 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals in the Greater Toronto Open Competition. This competition pitted amateurs against commercial wines, costing onaverage $20.00 at the LCBO.
Finally in 2007, Charles received his Grand Master Winemaker designation by the Wine Judges of Canada.
In 2006, we were awarded 4 bronze medals for our Baco Noir, Vidal, Grenache Rose and Apple Cider.
In 2005, we were awarded 3 silver for Vidal, Riesling and Pinot Noir), and 3 bronze medals in the Ontario Provincial Competition. Our Pinot Noir went on to represent Ontario in the National Competition, where it took a bronze medal.
