Demeter Wines

The healthiest grapevines produce the best grapes, and from the best grapes are made the best wines. Demeter was the Greek Goddess of the Abundant Harvest. In honour of her name, FERMENTATIONS! has introduced a line of high quality wines made from specially selected grapes and fresh juices.

Throughout the year, we give you the unique opportunity of making wine from the most exquisite grapes and freshest juices available. Many vineyards that supply FERMENTATIONS! with these grapes and juices do not use any unnecessary chemicals or pesticides. They adhere to sustainable viticulture practices, the goal of which is to maintain the health of the grapevines by using natural methods to control weeds and pests.  We always have a series of selections of Demeter Wines- Available begining in January 2011 is a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc, and Pinot Noir, the two grapes that put the New zealand wine industry on the map.  Each batch is just $199.35!

Check in on a regular basis to stay abreast with the Demeter choices.  And if you want to learn how to get the most out of your wines, inquire about our Wine School, where we will teach you to taste wine like the pros!

We are also the only Toronto distributor of Grapemasters wines. "From grape to barrel to bottle" is the Grapemasters motto for a reason: you truly have control over the making of fine wines throughout the whole process.

With grapes selected to deliver the highest possible calibre wine, and hands down the absolute best value in wine, it is no surprise that our Grapemasters wines are highly sought after by clients year after year.  Grapemasters Series wines have beaten $20.00 plus commercial bottles of wine in blind tastings with certified wine judges.  The grapes for these fine wines are sourced from around the world, including various regions of California, Chile, Italy and our own Niagara region - these are truly exceptional wines for you to make and build your wine cellar around.
